I would say you could hold off on the micro sd if you only want to play those two games. The Switch has 32GB of memory, and Mario Kart is around 8 GB. Not sure how big Mario Maker is. If the day comes that you run out of space, you could get a card then. Yes, having a Mario themed memory card for the Switch seems a bit pointless when an unbranded one will probably be cheaper and may work just as well but I think this is good value. Prices seem to fluctuate on Amazon for this card but when I bought it the price was £24.74 which is good for a top brand 128gb memory card with the specs it has.
